Roast Beef Country Style * 3 pounds rump roast, trimmed 1 teaspoon salt -- or to taste 1/2 teaspoon pepper -- or to taste 1/2 teaspoon Accent® seasoning mix -- optional Wash meat and dry with paper towel. Sprinkle seasonings on roast then place in a roasting pan. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a 350 F. oven for 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Allow roast to sit for 15 minutes before slicing. This recipe may also be prepared in a crock pot, cooking the roast for 6 to 8 hours on high. Serve with juices or make a gravy with the juices. - NOTES : Some would consider this type of cooking more of a braising than roasting. If you prefer to cook the roast with covering you may do so, but I find this makes the meat dryer and not as juicy.
